The Patch tool allows you to select replacement pixels. In more complex images, Photoshop might struggle and create odd effects in your image. When colors and textures are consistent, Photoshop does a good job replacing pixels. Smoothing: Smoothing automatically smooths out brush strokes as you paint allowing for straighter, more stable lines. Opacity: Drag the Opacity slider to adjust the transparency of the Erase tool. Softness: Drag the Softness slider to adjust the softness of the edges of the Erase tool brush. You can also enter a value from 1 to 5000 px.
